An Analyzing Study on the Role of Financing Structure in M&A Success

Abstract

This study examines the role of financing structure in determining the success of mergers and acquisitions (M&A). Financing decisions—whether through debt, equity, or hybrid instruments—significantly influence post-merger performance, shareholder value, and longterm sustainability. The research analyzes how different financing structures impact key success indicators such as profitability, market reaction, integration efficiency, and risk exposure. By reviewing existing literature and empirical findings, the study identifies patterns linking financing choices with M&A outcomes. The findings suggest that an optimal financing mix, aligned with firm characteristics and market conditions, enhances the likelihood of successful M&A transactions. The study contributes to a deeper understanding of strategic financial decision-making in corporate restructuring.
